Mason Mount out of Frank Lampard's first Chelsea squad to take on Wolves CFC
Mason Mount has been ruled out of the squad for Frank Lampard’s first game back as Chelsea manager at Wolves.
The Blues midfielder, who is linked with a summer exit after weeks on the sidelines, suffered a setback in his recovery from a persistent abdomen injury on Friday.Many expected the return of Lampard to benefit Mount, who was a key player during the legend’s first spell in charge of the club.The £12million summer signing, who was left out of the squad for the 0-0 draw against Liverpool on Wednesday, was named on the bench despite not playing since the 2-0 defeat at Tottenham in February.
