New data has revealed the UK cities where residents report the highest levels of financial, mental and physical wellbeing. Has your home made the list? happiness
The study took into account people’s reported levels of financial, mental, social and physical wellbeing to create a cumulative table of the UK’s happiest and healthiest cities.Coming out on top was, with Nottingham and Southampton following close behind. People in these cities were most likely to feel good about their financial situation, and engage in activities which took care of their mental, social and physical wellbeing.
Completing the top 10 were Newcastle, Norwich and Birmingham, followed by Liverpool, Bristol and Plymouth, with Edinburgh coming in at 10th. UK's best cities for wellbeing: London came out on top, with nearly half of Londoners saying they were happy with their financial situation. Surprisingly, almost half of Londoners reported feeling happy or very happy with their finances, despiteThat’s compared to around a third of people in Cardiff , Brighton and Sheffield who all say they’re unhappy with their financial situation.
It’s good news for our social lives and mental health, however: people are turning to friends and family for support when it comes to their mental health, and as a result, over half of the population feel supported and accepted within their social groups.While packing up and moving may not be the answer to all your wellbeing woes, it’s worth keeping in mind how your environment can impact our happiness and health in both the short and long term.
