Dave Gorman spends each December dressed as Father Christmas
He is so dedicated as his alter ego, he even dyes his hair and beard white so children can't see through his disguise. Nicknamed 'Mr:"My mother-in-law had cancer and she was treated by MacMillan nurses. They were absolutely outstanding. They couldn't have done any more for her. And I just thought, I need a way to pay them back."It's just a bit of fun and it puts a smile on people's faces.
While Dave is the face of the fundraiser, his daughter, Bekki, and son, Phil, work behind the scenes to make the visits possible. Phil arranges everything online and books all the appointments, while Bekki wraps the presents for Dave to give to the children he visits. Dave, who is naturally dark haired, dyes his hair and beard white every month to look as much like Santa as possible. He added:"I wanted to do better than a fake beard. I dye my beard white every month. When it gets totime, I dye it about three times a month to get through. All my hair is dyed white this year as well.
