The university confirmed with Adkison that protestors “physically engaged with and verbally assaulted” the university staff in an attempt to confiscate encampment materials. The school says they believe most demonstrators are “unaffiliated with the university.” At 5 p.m., the last of the demonstrators inside the encampment could be seen being removed from the encampment. All appear to have been detained, according to KEYE's reporter on scene.
