The major two car crash caused roads to be closed for police investigation work to be carried out
Multiple roads were closed off by police after a 'horrific' crash near Bolton on Sunday afternoon . Police, paramedics and fire crews attended the scene of the serious collision at the crossroad, between Hawkshaw and Edgworth.
The Manchester Evening News understands at least three people were involved in the collision, with one person cut from a car by fire crews using specialist equipment. It is thought they were seriously injured and were taken to hospital from the scene. Emergency services were called to the incident at around 4.20pm. Police remained on the scene throughout the evening for collision investigation work to be carried out, with Bradshaw Road and Ramsbottom Road among those blocked off.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “At around 4.20pm today , fire crews were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Bradshaw Road, Bolton.
