Mum forced to choose which of her children 'to save first' after car exploded and burst into flames
: "My three-year-old was screaming and she was aware of what was happening so I grabbed her seatbelt first and threw her at this woman passing by."She desperately tried to pull Jacob from his car seat but the seatbelt had become tangled and she said that no matter how hard she pulled she couldn't get him out.
It is thought that the incident was caused by an electrical fault, but the car was too damaged to come to a definite conclusion. She was awarded a pay-out by her insurance company for the 2007 vehicle but only after she paid her £475 excess fee. The shaken mum-of-two was given a £300 gesture of goodwill but is hoping to get a full refund.
