Mum breaks down in tears for 'good 20 mins' after weeks of homeschooling & says 'it's OK to let kids watch TV all day'
AN exhausted mother who posted a candid photo on Facebook showing she was struggling with the reality of life in lockdown with two children has gone viral - and received praise from other parents.
She wrote: ‘It’s OK to not be OK. Yesterday morning I had just had enough. By 7.40am I was already sick of hearing “mummy and Kelly”. Credit: Kelly Jennison ‘Although I may post nice pictures of us all looking happy or of my boys completing something educational for once does not mean it’s like that 24/7, we are only human.‘Don’t compare yourself to all you see on social media, yes use it as inspiration but honestly if your kids watch TV all day or just sit and play Lego and don’t even look at school work then you aren’t alone!The post instantly raked up 30,000 likes and hundreds of comments, with fellow parents praising her honesty.
Kelly said lockdown has been hard and thinks it important to recognise that this isn’t ‘normal’ for anyone. ‘But I have been lucky enough to have been furloughed and been able to stay at home and keep my boys safe.
