A woman has been left heartbroken after learning a devastating secret about her two-year-old son. She has since cut ties with her friend and moved back in with her parents
A woman has been left devastated after finding out she is not the biological mother of her son, following a lengthy and challenging IVF journey.
In a Reddit post, she wrote: "I had always wanted to be a mum. Devastated is an understatement regarding how I felt when I found out I had a medical condition that would make it nearly impossible to carry a baby to term. "I chalked it up as innocuous and it's good for her to know my husband better since she was in the process of hopefully carrying our child for us." But now, two years on, the woman has begun re-evaluating the extent of the time her husband and friend spent together following a telling hospital visit.
"Devastated and beyond furious, I turned to lawyers about potential medical negligence at the IVF clinic we attended. However, the reality was more painful. She disclosed: "My husband then admitted to having slept with my friend multiple times during the period we tried for a pregnancy with our embryos.
She cut ties with her friend and moved back in with her parents while she tries to get her life back on track. She shared: "My husband and 'friend/surrogate' admit they were wrong and keep apologising but also called me immature and heartless to just give up on my son like that. My parents also say I can't just give up on a kid that I went through so many legal and medical hoops to have.
