Megan's plight was brought to light by a local news channel covering the housing crisis in her home city.
A woman was left having to fork out around £700 a month to live in a tent because she couldn't afford anything else.
After struggling to find suitable housing, she was left paying A$300 - around £160 - a week to camp at the West Beach caravan park. The single mother expressed her shock and distress at the circumstances she has found herself in. When interviewed by 9news at the time, she said: "I never ever thought I would be in this situation, it's been absolutely horrible.
