Mum-of-two Andrea Sciolaro has shared how intermittent fasting changed her life for the better.
A mum who piled on the pounds from stress eating has praised one diet which helped her shed an impressive eight stone.
Also called time-restricted eating, intermittent fasting requires a person to within certain timeframes of the day, thereby causing the body to burn fat for energy during times of fasting. It is a method hailed by experts such as Michael Mosley, who incorporates it into both his Fast 800 and 5:2 diet plans.
"My skin is better, my hair looks better, all my aches and pains are gone. It was definitely tough at first, it was a huge paradigm shift. But fasting has forced me to make healthier choices and the speed that I've seen results makes it easier to stick to." Thankfully her husband Sean Perkins, 51, a senior account representative, was able to intervene before Morgan ran into the road, but Andrea was left "traumatised".
Andrea had to shift her mindset and change the way she viewed food in order to stick to her new lifestyle.
