A mum has shared a genius hack for cooking microwave rice that prevents the packet from toppling over in the microwave - but not everyone is convinced by the idea.
Microwavable rice can be a godsend for those of us with busy lives, but there's one aspect that can be incredibly frustrating.
However, regular users of microwave rice will attest to one annoying issue. The plastic packaging often proves too weak at the base, causing it to topple over and spill rice all over your microwave, leaving a mess to clean up. She revealed that the bottom of the packet can be unfolded to create a flat surface, preventing any toppling disasters in the microwave. She exclaimed: "I was today years old when I discovered this life hack. Anyone else not realise that if you pull these bits open at the bottom of the rice, it stands up and doesn't fall over in the microwave?"
