Murder hunt in Birmingham after man shot dead in 'drive-by gun attack'
COPS are hunting the killer of a man who was shot dead was shot dead in Birmingham tonight.
The 20-year-old was gunned down just before 7.30pm in the Erdington are of the city, West Midlands Police said.A murder investigation is underway but no arrests have been made at this stage and enquiries are on-going to identify those responsible. Locals at the scene said the man was in his car when another vehicle pulled up beside it and a gunman opened fire.Police said reassurance patrols have been stepped up in the area to support and reassure the community.Police rushed to Hall Hays Road after receiving a report of shots fired from a car, just before 6.30pm on Wednesday.reportedly in front of his brother in Erdington.
The victim's brother was led away by cops from the residential Erdington street in a "distressed" state, a witness said.
