Kyran Durnin and his mother Dayla disappeared on August 28 and haven't been seen since. A murder probe has now been launched by investigators.
Police have opened a murder investigation after the disappearance of an eight-year-old boy in Ireland. Kyran Durnin vanished more than six weeks ago together with his mother, Dayla Durnin.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Despite extensive enquiries carried out by gardai to date, An Garda Siochana have been unable to either locate Kyran, identify any information on his current whereabouts or any evidence that he is currently alive. Following enquiries to date, investigating Gardai now believe that Kyran is missing presumed dead. A murder investigation has been commenced.”
