Dad Amanpal Uppal underwent £130,000 worth of treatment in Germany but died in 2022

A family of a man who died from a brain tumour at Christmas is calling on the government to spend more money in helping find a cure and fund more treatment options for cancer patients.

Heartbroken, Pali's family then had to fundraise £130,000 to cover 2 years’ supply of ONC201, a drug not available on the NHS, but privately in Germany due to the “lack of treatment options” in the UK. She said: “Christmas is our family’s favourite time of year, but it’s now become a really difficult time for us.
