The partner of a Newcastle man holidaying in Thailand who was reportedly found dead in a Patong police station cell has revealed her shock and grief. 7NEWS
on Monday afternoon following his arrest during a night out drinking on Sunday.It was alleged that local authorities had left the premises to buy lunch for 30 minutes before the Off Your Tree body piercer was found dead at midday.
The Phuket News reports his body was taken to Vachira Phuket Hospital for a post-mortem examination, and that the Royal Thai Police have commenced an investigation into his death. “Unfortunately, in the excitement of being on a holiday in Thailand by himself, he drank too much and became rowdy. He was then arrested by police.
Winder’s final posts on social media just hours before his death, were loving tributes to Veroxis and her young daughter.He is remembered as “an amazing man full of love for his family and friends. He would do anything for them,” Veroxis told 7NEWS.com.au.
