The Annie Dryden mystery has deepened as the police search for the missing young woman has stalled. The 20-year-old vanished in a national park over two months ago. The police search to track her down was stepped up, but the probe has failed to yield any clues. She arrived in the North York Moors on Thursday, January 4, after boarding a train in Middlesbrough.
But she hasn't been since, with police examining theories ranging from she may have then headed to London, or remained on the moors and got into difficulty while hiking in the remote area. After CCTV emerged of Annie getting off the train in the small hamlet of Battersby, North Yorkshire Police took over the investigation from Cleveland Police. The Mirror reports today marks two months since the investigation was ramped up to include a larger search area over to the village of Castleton, near Whitby. Her family has already issued a desperate plea, saying, "you don’t need to come home, we just need to know you are ok", but it's understood there have been no significant developments
