We examine everything we know so far about the violence at Manchester Airport and what led to the incident.
A video of a tasered man being kicked in the head and stamped on by a police officer at Manchester Airport has sparked outrage and controversy this week.
Video footage has since emerged from Manchester Airport of the chaotic violence moments before a police officer was filmed appearing to kick a man in the head in a viral video. There is then a one hour gap between when the flight landed and 20:22pm, when another altercation occurred involving members of the public near the T2 Starbucks. It was six minutes later, at 20:28pm, when a fight between the police and the passengers broke out and the video was recorded of a man's head being kicked, while one of the officers received a broken nose.
The incident sparked condemnation from many critical of the police's handling, while some - most notably MPs from the Reform Party - support the police's handling of the issue. "The family, who are my constituents in Rochdale, have two priorities. The first and most immediate priority is the health and wellbeing of their family members, including their mother."
