The peri-peri chicken chain confirmed that its sales had surpassed pre-pandemic levels after 'strong customer demand'
Nando's has announced an acceleration of its restaurant openings following a rise in sales over the past year, showing a comeback stronger than pre-pandemic performance thanks to “strong customer demand”. The peri-peri chicken favourite has managed to reduce its losses even amidst a “challenging” cost environment.
This ambition is highlighted by the plan to introduce additional restaurants throughout this financial year, including 14 new locations across the UK. Noteworthy openings have already taken place in Edinburgh, Newcastle, Doncaster, Taplow, Bognor, Watford, Northampton, and Belfast. However, it acknowledged that costs continued to soar, although efforts are underway to manage expenses company-wide. This news comes as Nando's reported a healthy revenue growth of 7.5% to £1.37 billion for the year ending February 25, against the preceding year, reports Bristol Live.
