The Money Saving Expert is always on the look out for ways to make your life easier
Money-saving expert Martin Lewis has shared a way anyone can save a minimum of £50 on their energy bill - and potentially much more. He revealed the 'naughty' tip on ITV ’s The Martin Lewis Money Show Live, Yorkshire Live reports, before saying energy companies will 'hate me' for the trick.
Existing customers can log in to their accounts and get a unique referral link to send on to a friend. The link looks something like http://share.octopus.energy/adjective-noun-number and can be found on the home screen of your online account dashboard. He said: “Thank you, Martin. I saw your recommendation re the Shell Energy customers being switched to Octopus. My sister is affected so I referred her before the official switch date. Result!
In response, Martin said the tip was his “naughty little comment” on the show which he shared so that Shell customers could benefit, as they are being moved over to Octopus Energy. Martin said: “If you know someone on Octopus, they have a refer a friend scheme.
