A dinosaur skull has been found in QLD in what experts say offers a new insight into lives of the creatures in Australia almost 100 million years ago. 9News
The fossilised skull fragments date to 98–95 million years ago and represent the fourth fossil specimen ofDr Stephen Poropat, a postdoctoral research fellow at Curtin University, led the research into the remarkable find.
"In analysing the remains, we found similarities between the Ann skull and the skull of a titanosaur calledDiamantinasaurus"These similarities include details of the braincase, the bones forming the back end of the skull near the jaw joint and the shape of the teeth." As well as revealing more about the creature, the skull offers more clues about how and where they lived.
