The council has to make sure some spaces in classes are reserved for children in case they enrol late
Sixty eight primary schools in Glasgow are reserving a number of places to ensure children from the local area who enrol late will still be accepted.
The maximum number of spaces – 10 – are being put aside in Lorne Street Primary, Riverbank Primary, St Bartholomew’s Primary, St Francis Primary and Wallacewell Primary. Councillors approved the numbers of spaces to be saved at each school at the Glasgow council city administration committee yesterday.
