They Cloned Tyrone explained: What's going on in Netflix's trippy thriller?
The trippy thriller stars John Boyega as drug dealer Fontaine who, after he's killed by a rival, wakes up the next day as though nothing has happened. Pimp Slick Charles and sex worker Yo-Yo absolutely know that Fontaine is dead though, so they're a bit surprised when he shows up.
The lab that Fontaine, Slick Charles and Yo-Yo found was just one of a number of interconnected labs under the Glen. They find the main entrance under the church where even more experiments are taking place to perfect the formula which is aimed to, as Yo-Yo puts it, "F**k with how we feel, what we do, what we think".
It's useless to fight back too as if Nixon says "Olympia Black", he can control the people of the Glen, including Fontaine and Slick Charles, to do whatever he wants. Fontaine helps them get access to the facility to start destroying the lab and eventually comes face-to-face with the person in charge... himself. It's an older version of Fontaine who tries to justify his experiments on Black people as a "marriage of convenience" with this secret government organisation.Old Fontaine is a geneticist whose ultimate goal is to literally make everybody the same person.
