The Egyptian’s current deal, along with that of Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, is set to expire next summer. The 32-year-old became the best-paid player in the club’s history when signing his last extension in the summer of 2022, penning an incentivised contract worth an initial £350k a week.
