Cupp Bubble Tea is set to open a shop in Penny Street
A quirky teashop is set to open in Lancaster and offer customers the chance to drink a brew through an oversized straw and pop fruity tapioca bubbles.
The company explains on its website that the origins of Bubble Tea come from Taiwan in the 1980s and have become increasingly popular across the world. The "drink that you chew" has become a phenomenon in the UK with Cupp now operating franchises in most major cities including Manchester, Brighton, Bristol and London.
