The historic club has been part of the city for hundreds of years.
Plans to build new homes on the land at the junction of Cannon Street and North George Street are due to be approved by Salford council's planning committee on December 12.
The club was set up in the late 1800s as a way of keeping young people off the city’s streets with different activities on offer. The location of the proposed apartments is close to Salford’s Greengate neighbourhood, where major regeneration work has taken place to build new flats and offices in the city.Salford council has recommended the plans at the former Adelphi Lads Club are approved, with a proposal for the developer to make a contribution for the loss of the former recreation facilities at the site.
