A new flexible tariff at Attenborough Nature Reserve in Nottingham will see changes in parking fees, with some visitors paying more. The new tariff will be implemented from March 25, with all-day parking costing £5. Shorter parking durations will have varying fees.

A new flexible tariff at a popular Nottingham nature reserve will see some visitors pay more for parking. Currently, visitors at Attenborough Nature Reserve have to pay a £3 fee for parking - which lasts all day.

If you are parking for up to 30 minutes it will cost nothing. Visitors parking for up to two hours will have to pay £3 and anyone parking for up to four hours will have to pay £4. Registered Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust members, staff and regular Attenborough Nature Reserve volunteers will continue to be exempt from parking charges.

The new tariff will be the first change to parking fees since compulsory charging was introduced in 2021 and comes in response to rising costs across all areas of the charity’s work. Erin added: “These decisions are never easy, but we’ve worked hard to find the right balance which boosts our sustainable income whilst recognising that our visitors are feeling financial pressures too.
