BBC viewers are in for a treat as the second series of the revamped Gladiators hits screens this Saturday night, complete with two fresh faces joining the squad. Fans of the BBC favourite will witness the return of stalwarts Giant, Legend, Fire, Nitro, Diamond, Fury, Steel, Comet, Bionic, Electro, Phantom, Viper, and Athena for the latest instalment, hosted by the dynamic father-son duo Bradley Walsh and Barney .
New to the crew are Cyclone, the alter ego of Lystus Ebosele, and Nottingham's own champ Hammer – Tom Wilson by day. At 32 years of age, this world rowing champion and British Indoor Rowing Champion of 2024, who also nabbed silver in European and World championships, is clearly up for the challenge of the Gladiators arena. Off-screen, life's pretty rosy for Tom. Engaged to his sweetheart Chelsea Atkin after proposing nearly two years ago – a day he calls the 'best ever' – the couple shared the heartfelt moment on Instagram clad in white, where Tom posted: '@chelatkin engaged to my love,' accompanied by a heart emoji. Chelsea affectionately responded: 'I'll never be over it.' Beyond betrothal bells, there's more joy for Tom as he has recently embraced unclehood, greeting not one but three new family members – twins from his brother and another baby boy from his sister. The festive season saw a group family picture at Christmas, celebrated in his and Chelsea's new abode, reports Birmingham Live. He posted a joyful snapshot with his mum, siblings, and the new family members on Instagram, where he's seen grinning broadly as he holds one of the twins, standing in front of his home adorned with a festive wreath.
