From Glasgow's east end to the southside, city centre to the west end, it's been a huge year for Glasgow's hospitality scene with a raft of exciting new openings - how many have you tried?

The hospitality scene in Glasgow has had a pretty big year, with a heap of changes happening across the city.

Bowlarama's new downstairs bar A new bar offering a ground-breaking social entertainment experience with Scotland’s first-ever immersive batting cages and world-class augmented darts opened earlier this year in the city centre. Sebb's New underground bar Sebb's opened on Miller Street beneath fellow new spot, Margo, and features a dedicated cocktail kitchen, DJs offering the best beats and a menu focused on "food cooked over fire".

The Last Bookstore This bookshop-themed bar serving cocktails and small plates was a smash hit when it opened in Autumn and has continued to draw in fans. The Basement Jazz Cafe The team behind Singl–end, which is found on Renfrew Street in Garnethill, opened a dedicated nighttime jazz bar in September.

Somewhere by Nico The Glasgow-based restaurateur behind the hugely successful Six By Nico chain recently opened his first-ever bar and cocktail venue. Margo One of the hottest arrivals of the year, the top team behind Ka Pao and Ox and Finch opened their latest venture Margo on Miller Street recently.

Zhima – which translates to sesame in Mandarin – opened in Autumn after a near £1 million transformation, which saw the former Italian transformed into a ‘contemporary and elegant’ restaurant. Inspired by the institutional slice-spots of NYC, Sear’s Pizza offers up classic hand-tossed with thin-crust slices, that are large enough to create the age-old question - ‘to fold or not to fold?’

Currently offering a cracking selection of non-alcoholic cocktails and innovative small plates inspired by the likes of places like Japan, Sicily and Spain, it's already proving popular with food fans.Casa Casa opened recently on Great Western Road, at the spot previously occupied by the fast-food outlet BRGR.
