A wave of new eateries and bars are set to open in Manchester this February, offering a diverse range of cuisines and experiences, while the city mourns the closure of several beloved venues due to economic challenges.

There's no denying that it's been a tough start to the year for hospitality. In January, a number of dining spots closed their doors as businesses continued to grapple with steep energy costs, price increases on ingredients and the continuing cost of living crisis.

Get Baked - Northern Quarter One of the most anticipated openings of 2025 for those who love nothing more than a giant slab of oozing chocolate cake. Viral bakery, Get Baked, has been making waves since opening on the other side of the Pennines and this February they'll finally be opening their own takeaway bakery spot in the Northern Quarter.

It has now been confirmed that GAIL’s is set to open its doors in Prestwich on Friday, February 7 in the former NatWest bank building on Bury New Road. According to the bakery, the new store will take inspiration ‘from the diverse economic and architectural elements which characterise the surrounding area’.

Upper Orient - Trafford Centre The former China Town area at the Trafford Centre reopened back in December after a big budget makeover, but a whole host or restaurants and bars are still set to be unveiled. The passageway is one of the main routes through to The Orient central food court and was closed for months while works to place.
