Liz Truss has been announced today as the new leader of Great Britain, as she outfought Rishi Sunak to be appointed the next Prime Minister - following Boris Johnsons' resignation in July.
The former Foreign Secretary began her road into politics as a young girl, attending school in Leeds and at Oxford University. However, it has been revealed recently that she had a beginning in education in Scotland.Liz began her schooling at West Primary School in Paisley, but residents of the area weren't sure about her ability to lead the country. Earlier this year, Glasgow Live reported that one man from the city went viral on social media after his blunt response during hustings.
