State Pension payments are worth up to £221.20 each week during the 2024/25 financial year.
Millions of people in retirement can look forward to receiving their fully uprated State Pension payment this month, following the 8.5 per cent increase on April 8. The annual increase means that people on the full New State Pension will receive up to £221.20 each week, while those on the Basic State Pension will get up to £169.50.
However, the ‘End Frozen Pensions’ campaign aims to end the “injustice of pensions for Britons who have moved abroad” who do not receive the annual increase in line with the Triple Lock policy. Campaigners also point out that the highest numbers of affected State Pensioners are living in some of the largest Commonwealth countries such as Australia and Canada.
