A new president is being elected for the United States of America, with people across New York in cities including New York City, Albany and Buffalo deciding between Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Kamala Harris.
While the winner is often declared on the night - the final result will not be known for days. Whoever does win will serve four years in the White House, starting from their inauguration on January 20, 2025.
