With more MPs launching leadership bids, the race to become PM dominates the front pages on Monday.
The increasing number of candidates entering the race to become the next prime minister leads most of the papers. Foreign Secretary Liz Truss is throwing her hat into the ring to become the next prime minister, the Daily Telegraph has revealed. Writing in the paper, she says she will cut tax from "day one", reverse the rise in National Insurance and overhaul business rates.
Senior Tory party figures are planning to rapidly thin out the field of candidates hoping to become prime minister, the Financial Times reports. This comes as "rancour rises between rival camps", the paper says.Also leading with the continuing battle for leadership, the Metro says Conservative MPs are expected to meet on Monday to decide the rules for the contest. Big-hitter Michael Gove has backed the former equalities minister Kemi Badenoch for leader, the paper notes.
