Over the last four years in the NFL, 21 WRs have been drafted in the first round. Teams covet playmakers, and 2024 should be another receiver-rich group. But according to dpbrugler, Marvin Harrison Jr. is in a class of his own.

2023 season/2024 NFL Draft outlook

Despite being the 17th-ranked recruit overall in LSU’s 2021 class, Nabers was only the fourth-ranked receiving recruit for the Tigers that year — he landed behind Deion Smith, Chris Hilton andBut down the stretch last season, Nabers established himself as LSU’s top pass catcher and one of the more exciting athletes in the SEC. He averaged 122.3 receiving yards a game over the final four contests and finished with 1,017 yards .

Egbuka logged six 100-yard receiving games in 2022, including 118 yards and a pair of touchdowns against. On this 32-yard touchdown, he runs a basic slant out of the slot. I wanted to highlight this play because it shows his ability to gain a step of separation using his quickness and then snatch the football with complete control. If he gears down for even a microsecond to frame or secure the catch, Egbuka will be tackled by the defender and this isn’t a touchdown.

Egbuka has rare spatial awareness to understand everything going on around him and enough speed to outrun pursuit. But I want to see him become a more dangerous ball carrier when he is forced to make a defender miss. Though he isn’t undersized, Egbuka doesn’t have the power to barrel through tackle attempts and isn’t overly elusive to easily shake defenders in space.A handful of plays into Harrison’s tape and you know immediately that he is different; Egbuka’s game is more subtle.

After Smith-Njigba was injured early last year, Egbuka moved into the slot, where he spent two-thirds of the 2022 season and finished with 74 receptions for 1,151 yards and 10 touchdowns . Similar to Smith-Njigba, I don’t think Egbuka is a “slot-only” prospect, but he falls in the “best-in-the-slot” bucket because of his initial quickness and innate ability to gravitate toward space. That ability allows him to be a productive snatch-and-go weapon.
