The NHS outlined the parking options available
The NHS has confirmed that people are able to park at a Nottingham vaccine site after a claim that patients were having to leave their vehicles elsewhere. The autumn booster campaign is currently underway, with people aged 75 and over, health and care workers and the immunosuppressed being among the first groups of people to be invited to get a jab.
One of Nottingham's largest vaccination sites was located at the Forest Recreation Ground, before this facility closed in June and relocated to the Courtaulds Building on Haydn Road, between Sherwood and New Basford. The campaign started on Monday . However, one member of the public came forward and claimed it appeared that people weren't being able to park at the Courtaulds Building.
Sara Limb, 50, who works at a cafe down the road from the site, said that some people, many of them elderly and disabled, were having to park well away from the site. After first noticing the apparent problem on Monday, Ms Limb said the issue seemed to have been resolved as of Wednesday afternoon .
A "Grab a Cab" scheme with taxi company DG Cars is also available for Nottingham residents. The NHS also highlighted public transport links, with the brown, green and purple line NCT buses all having stops nearby.
