A number of job positions through NHS Scotland have just come up on the lovely islands of Lewis and Harris in the Outer Hebrides, with salaries starting as high as £129,000.

An idyllic Scottish island is currently hiring a number of jobs with starting salaries of up to £129,000.

For anybody who has been dreaming of getting away from the hustle and bustle on the Scottish mainland and living on a peaceful island, Lewis could be the perfect destination. As well as the variety of independent shops, restaurants, and pubs around Stornoway, there is a wealth of spectacular walking and hiking trails all over the island.

Meanwhile, positions available that require less experience include two registered nurses and a Health Care Assistant, which have starting salaries of up to £37,664 and £27,486 respectively. The nurse jobs will be based in a ward consisting of acute medicine and stroke rehab beds, while the Health Care Assistant will be responsible for decontaminating equipment in operating theatres.

As well as the stunning setting on Lewis and Harris, perks of the jobs include discounts on leisure and shopping facilities. Also included is a "comprehensive range of work life balance policies", as well as occupational health services.
