A hospital volunteer has collected an award in recognition for the work he has done for patients in a North Lanarkshire hospital.
Robert said: “I started volunteering with the NHS in April last year. Initially working in the emergency department, then later transferred to be a patient's direction guide within the level one concourse. “It would be true to say there have been a few difficult moments when some patients without letters relay their medical symptoms or specific medic they have been assigned to see.
Robert added: “I was more than a little surprised to learn that I had been nominated and equally so to share the award with Lorna, a more deserving colleague.
