Darren Davison, from outside Dungannon, allegedly punched windows and seats on the Aer Lingus flight from Lyon, France, to Dublin for just under two hours
An Aer Lingus passenger, accused of causing a disturbance on a flight from France to Dublin by punching windows and seats, has been held on €200 bail.
Davison is accused of being intoxicated and engaging in threatening and abusive behaviour during the flight. He appeared before Judge Michael Ramsey at Dublin District Court on Wednesday, May 22.Read more: Jeffrey Donaldson sex offences case 'moving with speed' The sergeant revealed that the accused is a UK national who had been on an Aer Lingus flight from Lyon. It's alleged that just 15 minutes after take-off, he began acting in an "extremely threatening and abusive manner", punching seats and windows for the remainder of the flight, reports the Irish Mirror.However, he later agreed to the court providing him with a lawyer. He has not yet entered a plea and faced objections to his bail due to having an address outside the jurisdiction.
Judge Ramsey was considering refusing the application due to Mr Davison being a flight risk but allowed bail in his bond of €200.
