“I didn’t know who that was but people have been razzing me in the office about that song,” he said regarding the Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ 2012 hit “Thrift Store” that talks about “gonna pop some tags.” “This is tied to the few pieces of legislation that we have pending in front of City Council,” he said. “In the zoning code, first you have to define what it is you’re regulating and then you have to determine where it can go in terms of the zoning district it can be allowed in.

Basically, the 45-day extension allows for the legislative process to play itself out with Upton expecting the zoning code legislation to pass in September.
