Two bottle shops in the Northern Territory have been targeted in a spate of attacks over a nine hour period, some of which included staff members allegedly being threatened with knives and an axe.
NT Police received reports of a spate of incidents at the Cazalys bottle shop and BWS in Palmerston, the satellite city of Darwin, starting from Thursday afternoon.
About 2.40pm on Thursday, a man entered the Cazalys bottleshop on Temple Terrace where he allegedly threatened to slit a staff member's throat and stole a credit card. In another incident on Thursday at 9.35pm, after the BWS in Palmerston was closed, a man was seen at the bottle-O with a 24cm steak knife and allegedly tried to attack security guards.
