Latrell Mitchell looks set to be overlooked for the Pacific Championships at the end of the year, with Kangaroos coach Mal Meninga indicating he’ll ignore the trouble-plagued Souths star as he deals with the fallout from the leaked photo scandal.
He’s set to receive a one-match ban from the NRL and a $20,000 fine for bringing the game in to disrepute after a photo of him standing over a table with a white powder on it emerged via social media. “At this stage we’re unsure where Latrell is. But I don’t think he has probably played enough games and in a good headspace to be in contention,” Meninga said, with Mitchell starring for the Blues in game two before he got hurt.
