Former head coach Xisco Munoz watched watfordfc lose at Blackburn, but there’s no more to it than a wider trip to watch lots of football
Former Watford head coach Xisco Munoz was in the Directors' Box for Watford’s 2-0 defeat at Blackburn Rovers.
However, any fans thinking there was more to his visit to Ewood Park than to just watch a game were definitely adding two and two, and making five. There was a fair bit of discussion on social media as to why Xisco would be in Lancashire on a Tuesday night in September, and many fans clearly still hold him in the highest esteem after his spell at the Vicarage Road helm which was crowned by achieving promotion back to the Premier League in the 2020/21 season.Munoz was in charge of SD Huesca last season but left in the summer after guiding them to 13th in Spain’s Segunda Division.
However, the trip to watch the Hornets on Tuesday is part of a longer trip he and his brother are undertaking as they watch a number of different games. In fact, he is due to be a guest of Watford when they entertain Sunderland at Vicarage Road on Saturday.
