The DR Congo international has been a standout for several seasons
It is thought that the Bees would prefer to keep hold of the player this summer and an initial approach - worth £15m - was not sufficient. Wolverhampton Wanderers are also said to be interested according to Sky Sports News.
The DR Congo international - who was born in France - usually plays on the left side of an attacking three, but can also play down the middle - as seen at Anfield last weekend in the absence of Ivan Toney. It is unclear what the asking price will be if Forest or Wolves are to acquire his signature but £15m for a player of his age and ability is thought to be fairly wide of the mark to strike a deal.
“Until the 30th - and we still have to play two matches before then - we have to be ready for everything."
