Steve Cooper's strongest Nottingham Forest XI after impressive summer transfer window
That's according to The Sun who claim the 17-year-old was a target for Steve Cooper before he recently put pen-to-paper on a contract extension at the Stadium of Light. It is claimed that Forest are "waiting for the moment to pounce" when the window reopens in January. Kompany confirmed during his press-conference that trio Darko Churlinov, Hjalmar Ekdal and Michael Obafemi won't be available due to injuries. However, he will welcome back Aaron Ramsey and Vitinho.
However, the clubs couldn’t agree the terms of a full deal and eventually the Reds turned their attention elsewhere, with Matt Turner arriving from Arsenal and Odysseas Vlachodimos from Benfica.Former Nottingham Forest boss 'ready to return to management' after long-term absence
