Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis has discussed plans to redevelop the Reds' City Ground stadium

Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis has outlined his long-term vision of taking the City Ground ’s capacity up to 50,000.

“Over the years, we have done a lot for the region. I think what we need to do is have a bigger stadium now,” Marinakis told the BBC. "We have a lot of supporters and a huge waiting list for season tickets. I'm sure a 50,000-seat stadium will be full watching our team and our passion. “This is very important. It is very important for the team and it is most important for the town of Nottingham. This is something I want to be able to finalise and for the years to come to have one of the best stadiums in England. This is my prime target right now."
