Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness believes Nottingham Forest are now going to confront some of their “big” issues after consolidating their place in the Premier League., the 66-year-old – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – insisted they won’t face any relegation trouble this season.
They were hit with a four-point deduction last season after being charged by the Premier League with a breach of the profit and sustainability rules . Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis is also exploring different options to extend the capacity of the City Ground in a bid to help the club continue its progress.Wyness believes Forest will now be in a better position to tackle some of their issues after establishing themselves in the Premier League.“You get that feeling there’s been a sort of a deep breath from Forest of ‘Hang on, we’re going to be okay this year’.
“They do feel that now they’re going to handle some of the bigger issues now that they feel they’re going to be able to consolidate their position in the league.
