Byron's, North Church Street Previously known as The Dolphin, this venue's location made it a popular student pub up until its closure in the 1990s. It was demolished in 2002.
Jacey's, situated at the junction of East Street and Heathcoat Street This venue was originally a pub known as the Old Plough before it became a bar named Jacey's. It later transitioned into a LGBT+ bar still under the name Jacey's - featuring male strippers.Mint Bar, located on St James's Street To be frank, we haven't been able to locate an old photo of this place. However, it was situated beneath the Albany Hotel, which later became the Britannia.
The Owd Boots was renamed the White Hart in 2003, which was its original name. The new owners even auctioned off some of the old 80s memorabilia to raise funds for charity.
