Police and paramedics responded to an incident at Nottingham Academy's Greenwood Campus in Bakersfield after a pupil was involved in a collision with a car. It happened at around 3.30pm on Thursday, January 16. The pupil was taken to hospital and the school said their family was being given "appropriate support". A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said: "Emergency services were called to Avon Road, Bakersfield, at around 3.30pm on Thursday following reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian. The pedestrian sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital as a precaution."
An air ambulance was spotted landing at the school at around 3.40pm on Thursday. A spokesperson for the academy said: "We are aware of an incident outside the academy this afternoon that involved a pupil and resulted in emergency services being called. "We are in close contact with the family involved and will continue to provide the appropriate support."
