NET, Nottingham's tram operator, announces price increases for its tickets, citing inflation and operational costs. Despite the hikes, NET offers a significant discount on its annual adult season ticket, aiming to help passengers manage the rising cost of living.
Nottingham 's tram operator says it recognizes the challenge of the 'growing cost of living ' as prices on the network are set to rise again. NET says its full range of tickets will be increasing 'in line with inflation and the growing cost demands of running the network' from Monday, January 6. The price increases will see an adult day ticket go from £5.40 to £5.50 and an adult single go from £3.30 to £3.40.
The last price rise on the network came in June 2024, when NET announced the second price hike in six months. The announcement comes as NET also launches its January sale, which could see Nottingham tram passengers getting the equivalent of two and a half months free travel. The tram company says it is recognizing the 'growing cost of living' and offering passengers a huge discount on an annual season ticket. Do you agree with tram fares rising in Nottingham?
