Donna King, a Nottingham resident, lost her home and all her possessions in a fire caused by an e-cigarette battery. The blaze destroyed the house she lived in for 16 years and left her homeless.

A Nottingham woman's home and all her possessions were destroyed in a fire caused by an e-cigarette in the early hours of November 14. Donna King, 45, is now homeless and staying with friends and in hotels. The fire originated from the battery of an e-cigarette and caused severe smoke damage, rendering her 16-year-old house unliveable. Firefighters rescued Donna and her partner from the smoke-filled room.

The Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service concluded the fire was accidental and caused by the vape battery
